Modern Healthcare is seeking nominations for its 5th annual Top Innovators Awards, which recognize individuals and organizations leading transformation and achieving gains in quality, affordability, accessibility, sustainability and equity.

The 2023 awards offer more opportunities to recognize the collaboration and teamwork that are crucial to successful innovation.

Nominations are open. The final deadline is July 17. Here’s what you need to know.

What are the top innovators awards?

The awards recognize individuals and organizations driving innovation and initiatives that improve efficiency, care and/or health outcomes and contribute to clinical and financial goals. Specifically, the program honors those whose innovations have led to demonstrable, measurable results for their organizations, patients and communities while improving the industry.

What’s new this year?

For the first time, we are expanding our awards program to also recognize the industry’s most innovative organizations.

Who is eligible?

Organizations across all industry sectors (ie, provider, payer, vendor, supplier, etc.) are eligible. Individual nominees must serve in a director-level role or above. Researchers and public policy officials are eligible, provided that their work has led to measurable impact.

How much does it cost to nominate?

The nomination fee is $150. You may nominate an organization and an individual from that entity, or multiple individuals from the same organization, but each must be a separate entry with its own nomination fee. Payment does not guarantee inclusion as an honoree.

What nomination materials are required?

The nomination form asks for a summary of innovative initiatives launched by the nominee as well as quantifiable results of the initiatives with relevant data cited. A current CV/resume and headshot are required for individual nominees. Nominators are encouraged to submit up to five supporting documents such as letters of recommendation, articles, case studies, etc., that speak to the nominee’s innovation and measurable impact.

When is the nomination deadline?

Nominations for the 2023 Top Innovators Awards must be submitted by July 17 at 11:59 pm PT.

When will the honorees be announced?

The list will be announced Sept. 16 on ModernHealthcare.com. Honorees will also be recognized in the Sept. 18 issue of Modern Healthcare magazine.
