Every athlete takes care of his body to bring the best out of himself or herself. They work towards an absolute physical peak and train hard to maintain that fitness throughout their career. But it is difficult for guys who are naturally big and heavy. One such basketball player was Shaquille O’Neal.
At 7’1 and around 325 lbs, Shaq suffered from many injuries in his career. It was difficult for him to maintain the physicality, speed and agility with the same intensity over the years. His game always needed all his body’s effort for him to be as dominant as he wanted to be on the court. But that entailed some obvious injuries which came over time as the big man grew old.

The players have many approaches to keep themselves fit and at the top of their physical peak. For example, Colin Kaepernick has been very strict about his diet over the years. He is a former American quarterback who played for 6 years for the San Francisco 49ers. He has been a vegan since 2016 and has maintained a healthy lifestyle even now in his retirement.

Shaquille O’Neal ‘mistakenly’ says he is trying to go vegan
On his podcast, Shaq cleared out that he actually did not turn vegan but was just trying to avoid meat particularly. He first diminished and ridiculed TMZ’s reports, which Spice Adams asked him to confirm. Shaq asked Spice if he himself had read, seen or heard Shaq say that. To which Adams replied, it was not the case. Adams asked what Shaq said exactly. Shaq said the same thing, but then realized that he did not know what it meant.

“Shaquille O’Neal is trying to go vegan, he is working to get healthier via a meatless diet.” Shaq cleared what he said. To his surprise he had misunderstood the term ‘vegan’. “What is a vegan? I am just eating chicken. Is chicken meat? ” Spice and Nischelle were quick to correct the big man as they answered “Yes”. Shaq replied, “I always thought meat is [in] burgers and stuff. I need to educate myself. So healthier with a better diet. ”
One can not resist laughing when the big man who was ‘lecturing’ Adams about the ways to manipulate the mind. What you read, what you hear, what you see, can out to be wrong. As soon as Shaq realized what he said was wrong, he was quick to clarify and said he needed to learn.
