Spring Clothing Additions • Kath Eats

Here are a few spring clothing additions to my closet from shirts to dresses to bathing suits for summertime!

Do you head to the warm section of your closet with fresh eyes every year? After wearing my favorite black hoodie for months now, it’s been fun to start to wear my summer wardrobe again. And naturally, I’ve added a few new pieces too! Here are some of those new pieces, including a handful of new swimsuits!

Banana Republic Twist Top

I went into Banana Republic where my friend works to see if they had an “casual but cute” T-shirts and came out with this unique twist top! It’s perfectly comfortable cotton with an arm detail that I haven’t seen before. Perfect for when you are sitting half in the shade and half in the sun!! Haha.

Stitch Fix

I hadn’t done a Stitch Fix in a while! I’ve had such a great experience with both Stitch Fix and A Short Story in the past. It’s always my go-to when the seasons change. Here are the three things I kept:

Sue Tulip Sleeve Top by Monday Fun

I love this top!! It’s flowy yet also looks great tucked in. Dress it up or down!

Melinaira Ruched Sleeve Knit Top by Violets & Roses

This shirt is so “me.” It’s also that super smooth material that is thin and breathable. I like the longer sleeves for springtime. I’ve been wearing it all the time!

Madelyn Flutter Sleeve Dress by Mason and Belle

It hasn’t been warm enough to wear this dress yet, but it’s so comfortable – I can’t wait! I like how the sleeves are loose but there is a panel of fabric so my armpits don’t show!

Target Swim

Black Scalloped Neck One Piece

Moving onto swim!! I picked up two new suits from Target before our Aruba trip and they are both winners!! This black suit is perfect – double lined, “cool” neckline, great coverage. So easy to pair with shorts for the walk to and from the beach (or a pirate ship!) Mine is a size medium.

Carve Designs Bali Shorts

And speaking of shorts, if you don’t have the Carve Bali shorts you are missing out!! These are the BEST shorts for summertime as a beach coverup, as they are quick dry fabric, high waisted, and have two side pockets and one back pocket. I have them in 3 colors – navy, black and floral! Mine are a medium.

Tropical Plunge One Piece

This is the second Target suit I got. It’s not totally mom friendly for sports in the ocean, but it’s a great combo of sexy and full coverage. Love the bolder tropical print in contrast to my solid suits! Mine is a size medium.

Carve Designs

Carve Designs sent me a few pieces from their spring/summer line, including some new suits and linen outfits!

Remi Romper

Obsessed with this romper! It’s so comfortable with pockets and a tie waist. I think a tie waist is a must-have on a romper because otherwise you look a little like a billowly square. Love it! Size small.

Nellie Linen Dress

This linen dress is also so light and airy (as linen is!) with great pockets. It would be great for a spring picnic or as a beach coverup! I’m wearing a small and it’s a bit big for size.

Carve Designs Swim

Tofino Top in Wildflower

I LOVE LOVE this long-line swim top! It goes with any solid color bottoms you might match (or you can buy the matching ones). It’s basically like wearing a sports bra on the beach – totally comfortable and supportive. Comes in a bunch of different colors and mine is small in the D/DD size.

Dahlia One Piece in Taj

This suit isn’t like anything I’ve owned before, but I can’t wait to wear it to an evening pool party! Perhaps with a dark sarong. It’s tight enough that it’s supportive despite the fact that it’s skimpier on the top : ) Mine is small in D/DD.

Beacon One Piece in Wildflower

Here is the wildflower pattern again but this time in a full-coverage one piece! This is another great suit for those who want to feel zipped up and not to have to think about your suit moving around. Check out the criss-cross back in the pic below. All of their swimsuits come in D/DD size option, and I’m wearing a small in that size.

Bali Shorts in Black!

The cross-cross back – plus my favorite Bali shorts in size medium.

Athleta

Outbound Tank

I picked this tank up from Athleta on sale and have been obsessed with it. Perfect for wearing under a light jacket or blazer or on its own when the sun is out!

Bokyna Sandals

These sandals have been following me around the internet. I finally decided to try them and LOVE THEM. Soooo comfortable, as promised. And I am looking forward to them being the only pair I pack on a vacation when I need casual sandals to wear to the pool and dressy sandals to wear with a dress for dinner!

Old Navy Shorts

I found the perfect denim shorts at Old Navy! High waisted, soft, mid thigh length (on me!), great price! I also got this vintage t-shirt in the faded purple and it’s great! It comes in V-neck too. You cannot beat the Old Navy prices!

Nude Wedges

I also got these nude wedges because I needed some nude in color, super comfortable walking shoes with a small heel to also wear with dresses. They are SO COMFORTABLE! I think I am all set on shoes for now!

Probably won’t wear them with shorts, but here’s the zoomed out look!

Go Girl!

This top I found at Goodwill of all places! I’ve saving it for an occasion when girl power is the theme. TBD!

Allbirds

And finally, shout out to my Tree Loungers! These shoes are not new, but they’re back out for spring and I had to shout them out for being THE MOST COMFORTABLE slip-ons ever! I am blister prone and these are as cozy as a pair of slippers. In fact, they would make great house shoes. I kind of want a second pair in a lighter color. They’re so lightweight and machine washable.

That’s all for now!
