Visit Corvallis to Host Oregon Senior Games

In August of 2021, Visit Corvallis held a sporting event for people 50 and older. The event was so well received, they’re bringing it back this August. Happening the weekends of Aug. 11-14 and 18-21, this year, the home games will be a qualifying event for the National Senior Games event held in Pittsburg, PA this fall.

“As a member of the National Senior Games Association, we are dedicated to motivating active adults to lead a healthy lifestyle through the senior games movement,” Morgan Baker, State Coordinator of the Oregon Senior Games said in an article by Visit Corvallis.

Athletes of all skill levels who will be at least 50 by December 31, 2022 are encouraged to sign up. Registration opened in March and an early-bird discount will be offered till mid-June.

The organizers will offer competition in archery, bowling, cornhole, cycling, disc golf, traditional golf, pickleball, power walk, race walk, road race, shuffleboard, soccer, softball, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track & field, and volleyball .
